PostgreSQL Support

I am working now to add PostgreSQL support in my PHP Guestbook. Currently i am planning a release for this support in version 2.4.5. Along with PostgreSQL support, this version will be packed with some new features and an introduction to some new framework aspects that help the guestbook preform.

Version 2.4.2 will include a well documented developers manual for developers using this guestbook for clients. I also hope that this will cut back on support issues and bugs.

Version 2.4.0 is currently on the svn and in testing, you may grab the nightly dump at our Winn Guestbook Google Code Page.

Winn Guestbook – SourceForge

Winn Guestbook is moving to SourceForge! Yes, thats right i will be opening the guestbook on SourceForge so you may track the progress of the new versions and submit requests or issues with the application. All the downloads have also been very taxing on my server so it’s time to move it! Once the project is open there i will be releasing version 2.4 with some new functions, such as:

1. Ability to have pre approved posters that skip the approval process.

An admin can login and add a users email address to the pre approved list.

1. Security update for admin login.
2. Javascript improvement and the introduction of WinnJS.
