Using Text as a navigation in a design
Many new designers are using full text designs such as blogs, with a full absence of images. This method is not such a new idea, if we all take a look back about 10 years ago we will see similar sites that have no images and only text. Granted the newer work is more esthetically pleasing then the 1997 design, but why? The way the site is laid out and feels is more inviting; because designers found that using colors and other fonts help the user interface. The design made in 97 most likely was all “Times” and was done with using hardly any style. The design done today uses soft colors and a few fonts, with plenty of white space for the eye to relax.
